The Boy Who Was Packaged With Elmo

I found this on Pinterest:

So, I started to imagine a story around it. When I finished, I put it in the comment section below it.
Then I had a terribly mean idea:
I'd share it with my mom, who would think it was true without a second thought.
And after I shared it with her on Facebook, I said this on Pinterest:
"I sent my mom this story on Facebook because I know she will fall for it, comment on how stupid the parents were, and not even give it a closer look."
Here's how I shared the picture with her:

And this is the story:
He went missing after the parents finally noticed their child had wandered off during their toy factory tour. Unfortunately, by that time, he was already packaged up with his beloved toy friend, Elmo, and getting a ride in the supply truck. Thankfully, he didn't have too long a ride, as the first delivery was at a Toys R Us on the other side of town. The boy was later found unharmed in the box and returned to his parents, where they paid for the toy he had no way of parting with. The toy factory went under the investigation and is now making regulations on making the touring experience safer and better supervised.

Her reaction (when she eventually saw it):
Mom: "Where were the doggone parents? They should have been watching him! I can not believe how dumb some parents are, not watching their children...."
Me: *laughs* "You didn't even read the article! I made up the whole story! It's a cardboard picture of a boy! It's not even real!"
Mom: "Oh, I thought.... I really thought that boy was actually packaged up with the toy!"

Now you know, Mom. Now you know. Lol
